Why Current Remedies for Bad Breath Don't Work
The most common remedies for bad breath, mouthwash, breath spray, and candy mints are mostly ineffective. According to a September 1992 Consumers Union test report on 15 of the most popular breath freshener brands, these products only mask the offensive odor with another odor that lasts from as little as 10 minutes to less than one hour.
"Internal breath capsules", another so called cure, claims to attack bad breath from its point of origin -- the stomach. According to all current scientific research, however, less than 1% of bad breath originates in the stomach, lungs, or sinuses. By far, the overwhelming source of bad breath is the soft tissue areas of the mouth, mostly the tongue. So draw your own conclusions about the effectiveness of internal breath capsules. But the good news is that an oral hygiene product and program is finally available that can permanently eliminate bad breath.
